About us

SOPHSA is a non-profit, independent, student-led association
registered in the Federal Republic of Somalia. The organization
is dedicated to uniting Somali Public Health students from
universities across Somalia and abroad, creating a platform to
harness leadership, advocacy, and public health knowledge for
the betterment of Somali communities.

Vision: To build a Somali society with accessible, high-quality healthcare
services, and promote public health development in line with the
Government of Somalia’s health strategies and the United Nations
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 2030).

Mission: To become a leading force in Public Health advancement,
community awareness, public health research, and health policy
advocacy in Somalia — by empowering students and future health
leaders through networking, education, and collaborative initiatives.
